Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Noval Studios LLC ("Noval," "we," "us") collects when you visit novalstudios.com or use our products (including The AI Roadmap and the client portal), how we use it, and the choices you have. We collect what the things you use actually require — and no more.
I.Who we are
Noval Studios LLC is an AI strategy and development firm operating remotely across the United States. For any privacy question or request, contact us at caleb@novalstudios.com.
II.Information we collect
Information you give us
When you email us or book a call, we receive what you choose to send — typically your name, email address, and the contents of your message. We use it only to respond to you and to follow up about a possible engagement.
Forms you submit (the free Scan and the Roadmap intake)
When you submit the AI Opportunity Scan or the Roadmap intake, we collect what the form asks for: your email, name, business name, industry, phone (intake only, optional), website, and your answers about how your business runs — including any free-text answers you write. We use this solely to produce your scan report or roadmap, to send it to you, and to answer your follow-up questions. Intake answers are the raw material of a paid deliverable; they are never sold, never used to train AI models, and shared only with the service providers below as needed to deliver your order.
The client portal
If you buy a roadmap, we create a portal account for you (your email, business name, and a hashed sign-in key). The portal stores your roadmap, the play statuses you set, your implementation-quote requests, and the messages you exchange with us. The portal also includes the Noval Guide, an AI assistant: your questions and its answers are sent to Anthropic (our AI provider) to generate replies, and are saved on our systems so we can improve your plan — a human at Noval may read them. Don't put card numbers, government IDs, or your own customers' personal details into the chat.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe through secure Stripe-hosted checkout. Your card details go to Stripe, not to us; we receive confirmation of payment, the amount, and the email you used.
Usage information (light analytics)
On our homepage we run simple, first-party analytics so we can see how many people visit. This records a randomly generated session identifier (stored in your browser), the page viewed, and the website that referred you. It is not tied to your name or email, and we do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. Our hosting and infrastructure providers may also process technical data such as your IP address and browser type as a normal part of serving and securing the site.
Children
The site is intended for businesses and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.
III.Cookies & local storage
We do not use advertising cookies. We store two things in your browser, both in localStorage: a single random session identifier used for the first-party visit count described above, and — if you are a client using the portal — your portal sign-in key, so you stay signed in on that device. Use the portal's Sign out link on any shared or borrowed device; it removes the key. You can also clear both at any time through your browser settings.
IV.Service providers we rely on
We use a small set of trusted providers to run the site. They process data only to provide their service to us:
- Vercel — hosts and serves the website; processes technical request logs for delivery and security.
- Supabase — stores our visit analytics, form submissions (Scan and intake), and client-portal data (roadmaps, statuses, quote requests, messages, and Guide conversations).
- Anthropic — powers the portal's Noval Guide: your chat messages and roadmap context are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate replies.
- Stripe — processes payments; we never see your card details.
- Resend — sends our transactional email (scan reports, checkout links, delivery emails).
- Google Fonts — fonts are loaded from Google, which may receive your IP address as part of delivering them.
- Google Workspace — handles our email if you contact us.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
V.YouTube API Services
Noval Studios operates its own YouTube channels and uses an internal publishing tool that uses YouTube API Services to upload our own original videos to our own channels and to read our own channels' statistics. By using YouTube API Services, we are — and any viewer interacting with our YouTube content is — bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data in connection with these services is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
- The tool is internal and single-user: only our own channel owner authenticates, via Google sign-in (OAuth 2.0).
- It accesses, collects, and stores only our own channel's data — the videos we upload, their titles and descriptions, and our own channel's performance statistics. It does not access, collect, or store any information about visitors to this website or about any other YouTube user.
- Its authorization credentials are stored locally on our own equipment, are never shared with any third party, and are used for no purpose other than publishing to and analyzing our own channels.
- It does not serve advertising, does not share data with third parties, and does not store, access, or collect information from anyone's device — no cookies or similar technologies are involved.
- The Google account access we grant our own tool can be reviewed or revoked at any time via the Google security settings page, and any locally stored data can be deleted by contacting us at caleb@novalstudios.com.
Questions or complaints about our use of YouTube API Services can be sent to caleb@novalstudios.com.
VI.How we use information
- To respond to your messages and discuss working together.
- To produce and deliver what you ordered — scan reports, roadmaps, portal features, and answers from the Guide.
- To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the site and the portal.
- To comply with legal obligations.
VII.Your rights & choices
You can ask us to access or delete the information you've sent us — just email caleb@novalstudios.com and we'll handle it.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we hold, to request its deletion or correction, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
VIII.Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected, to operate the site, or to meet legal requirements — then we delete it. Concretely: Guide chat conversations are kept up to 12 months; scan and intake submissions up to 24 months after our last contact with you; portal data for as long as you remain a client (plus a short wind-down period). Ask us to delete any of it sooner at any time.
IX.Security
We protect the site with HTTPS encryption, strict browser security policies, and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is ever 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to safeguard your information.
X.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
