Accessibility
Noval Studios is committed to making novalstudios.com usable for everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. Accessibility isn't a checkbox for us — it's part of building things that actually work.
01Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive differences. We treat AA as the bar to clear, not a stretch goal.
02What we do
- Build with semantic HTML so screen readers can understand the page structure.
- Support full keyboard navigation, with visible focus indicators on every interactive element.
- Maintain strong color contrast for text and meaningful interface elements.
- Honor your reduced-motion setting — animations are dialed back or turned off when your device asks for it.
- Label form fields and buttons clearly, and announce form status to assistive technology.
- Write descriptive text for meaningful images and icons.
03Ongoing work
Accessibility is never "finished." As we add to the site, we test against these standards and fix issues we find. If something here falls short of the bar, we want to know — and we'll fix it.
04Tell us about a barrier
If you run into anything on this site that's hard to use or read with assistive technology, please email caleb@novalstudios.com. Tell us the page and what got in your way, and we'll work to resolve it and offer the information another way in the meantime.
